The burning desire to succeed for clients, coupled with the relationships I have built along the way, has led me to where I am today. I left companies throughout my career for various reasons—money, benefits, the nature of the work, or a lack of community. My greatest successes occurred when I made decisions based on personal growth and the meaningfulness of the work.
Throughout my career, I’ve pieced together the Do’s and Don’ts of employee relationships. Do be transparent, have integrity, and prioritize people and the mission. As for the Don’ts—well, the list is long, but I prefer to be a positive person. Amidst negativity, action creates positivity. My guiding principle is to be a person of action—say what you will do and do what you say, and others will respect your integrity. In the mirror, I am the only person looking back at myself, so I let my actions dictate how I carry myself at the start and end of every day.
